Mission: Protection of Public Health, the environment and fair trade.
Objective: Support of the Republic of Cyprus and the European Commission with scientific expertise and quality-assured data for policy implementation, evaluation of effectiveness of existing policies and development of new policies where appropriate.
Research Services provided:

o Official Market control of hazardous substances in (non-food) consumer products in the frame of Memorandums of Collaboration with the Cyprus National Competent Authorities (primarily for implementation of the European Commission Regulations REACH and CLP and Directive on General Product Safety)
o Expertise in the frame of:
- European Partnerships under DG R&D for the development of Human Biomonitoring in Europe and its use for policy support and awareness raising
- Working Groups on Analytical Methods of the European Chemicals Authority
- the National Chemicals Council
- Risk Assessment Unit of the State General Laboratory.

o GC/MS, GC/MS-MS.
o Other equipment available at the Hosting Legal Entity can be used as needed, e.g. ICP-MS, ICP, AAS, DMA, etc.
